Shiatsu

shi means finger, atsu means pressure

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage that uses pressure on various points of the body to normalise the flow of chi (energy).

I often use acupuncture points and neuromuscular trigger points, applying pressure with fingers, thumbs, elbows or even knees. Pressure can be light or heavy, whatever brings the most benefit.

Good communication with the patient allows me to fine tune the treatment to create the most relaxing and therapeutic effect.
